They say those who can, do; those who can't, write about it.

Fair is fair -- but what if you can, but prefer to sit around watching television instead. And you also happen to be a darn fine writer?

That is what brings me here. I'm 27-years-old and I've wanted to be a sports writer since I learned to read (age 3) and write (age 17).

In my illustrious athletic career I won gold medals in track, league titles in soccer and MVPs in baseball. But let's face it, staying strong, fast and on the top of your game requires time and effort. Once high school graduation hits, reality follows quickly and now I'm forced to write sports stories while dreaming of my past achievements. It's hardly vicarious living, but hopefully one day it will earn me a living.

Despite my age, shape, interests and abilities changing over my years, one thing has not: My love for sports. Whether it was Wrestlemania VI in Toronto, Arsenal winning the league from Liverpool at Anfield in 1989 on the last day, or every Saturday night watching Gary Leeman, Ed Olczyk and Vincent Damphousse and the Leafs bumble around I am always interested and watching and thirsting for more.

I hope my passion for sports reflects through my writng and I want everyone to love me. I want to inspire fellow sports fans through discussion of what matters most, and even least.

So enjoy, and write me if you have something to say.
